Completely self-taught, Michele has been creating art since her early years in high school.
It was out of this discovery that once painting she could not put the brush down. She has
exhibited her work in numerous shows, galleries, competitions, businesses, and teaches
watercolor classes. Although she has used various media such as pencil, ink and acrylics,
Michele has settled on watercolor as her favorite. “I love to paint with rich colors and
contrasts”. Michele’s favorite subject is people. “People are exciting to paint and children
always liven up a watercolor”. After raising two children of her own and working in
management jobs, she moved to Coupeville on Whidbey Island in 1995 to enjoy
its beauty and spend more time pursuing her art.
Michele now has some of her original watercolors in the USA,
Mexico, Netherlands, Bali, Canada, and Norway
