I am a self-taught artist who has been painting professionally for more than thirty years. I have won numerous awards and exhibited my work in shows, galleries, competitions, and businesses around the country. Several of my originals and portraits can be found in the U.S., Mexico, Bali, Australia, Netherlands, Canada, Peru, Norway, Columbia, Afghanistan, Haiti, Cameroon, Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Sierra Leone, Columbia and Ethiopia.
Although I have used various media such as oils, inks, pencils, and acrylics, I love the appearance of watercolor. “I love to paint with rich colors and contrasts.” My favorite subject is people. “People are exciting to paint and children always liven up a watercolor.” I am a member of the SCBWI (Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators) and I'm pursuing writing and illustrating children’s books.
